What destinations do you specialize in? My primary expertise covers Thailand (where we currently live), Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia (primarily Bali and beyond), Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. I have lived in the region and traveled extensively through these countries. Do you only work with travelers over 50? What is included in your Custom Trip Itinerary service? My core service is a comprehensive, day-by-day travel plan tailored specifically to your interests and travel style. This includes hand-picked accommodation recommendations, detailed transportation logistics (flights, trains, private transfers), curated activity and tour suggestions, and insider restaurant picks. You receive a complete roadmap for your trip that eliminates the guesswork.

Do you book flights and hotels for me? I handle all the research and logistics planning, but I do not make the final bookings on your behalf. Instead, I provide you with a detailed itinerary containing direct booking links for every flight, hotel, and tour we’ve selected. This approach gives you full transparency, allows you to use your own credit cards for points and miles, and ensures you retain direct control over your reservations.

How does the process work? We start with a consultation to discuss your travel dreams, budget, and preferences. Based on that conversation, I design a preliminary route. Once you approve the route, I will build out the detailed daily itinerary with specific recommendations. You’ll receive a digital itinerary that you can access on your phone, complete with maps and all the details you need for a smooth journey.

Trip Logistics

How far in advance should I start planning? For the best availability, especially for flights and popular boutique hotels, I recommend starting the planning process 3-6 months in advance. For peak holiday seasons (December-January), 6-9 months is ideal. However, I can often accommodate shorter timelines depending on the complexity of the trip.

Can you help with visas and entry requirements? Absolutely. Navigating visa rules in Southeast Asia can be tricky as they change frequently. I provide up-to-date guidance on visa requirements, entry forms, and health regulations for every country on your itinerary as part of the planning service.

What kind of support do I get during my trip? Your custom itinerary is designed to be comprehensive and self-sufficient, containing all necessary local contact numbers, hotel addresses in local languages for taxi drivers, and logistical tips. While I don’t offer 24/7 concierge support during the trip, the detailed preparation ensures you have all the information you need to travel confidently and independently.
